have someone coming round in about half an hour to review charlie's speech, with the possibility of referring him to speech and language therapy. quite a few people have said this is ridiculous, and I was agreeing with them, but what harm can it do? If it will help him to talk then I cant see the problem really, then at least he will be able to express himself better and not get so frustrated! It must be tough for him, and I bet he has so much he would like to say!!!!

it was fine, the lady came round to do his 2 year check up thing, so he was weighed, measured etc and i was questioned as to what he can and cant do. she said he is very bright but just seems to have problems getting the hang of words. he is being reffered to speech and language therapy where he will be assessed properly. the woman was very nice and very chatty, we spoke about allsorts in the end - her husband is in the navy so her and david were chatting mostly!!! but i feel fine about it, she did say he was very 'switched on' so that was cool
