what are your views about using reins for young children, some people are very against the idea, believing it is treating your child like an 'animal' others believe it is the best thing for their children to use them

i have used reins for both my children, especillay with chalrie now i have 2 children to keep safe, i cant run after one child and leave the other child behind, i have always encouraged eliza to walk everywhere, hating to see children cooped up in oushchairs for long time, and she is a great walker, and i believe the reins taught her to walk with me, now she never runs off ahead, or only goes so far and listens to me when i tell her to stop. i am using reins with charlie, in just a split second he could run into the road, no matter how close by i am to him, it could still happen, and i feel safer knowing he cant do that, also no one can snatch him if he is on reins. i think they can only be a good thing.

I think reins are the best idea ever. Being a childminder u need to have control of all the chrildren and like said when ur walking up roads u need to have full control over ur kids and rains are the best way for this.

I found the best reins i had were some Lindum ones! It was more of a back pack with a lead off of the bag, looked alot more comfy and gave the child more freedom to walk as such. And had a cute little bag to go with it.

I like them. I don't use them much as prefer to use his buggy but when we were on holiday I used them quite abit. Sam is one for running off so found them really useful.
